Agenda
Year-long Syntropic Farming Training Program
February – December 2026
This training offers both theoretical knowledge and practical experience within at least three different syntropic systems. Throughout the year, we follow the rhythms of the land. We combine intensive, multi-day modules with supervised fieldwork. This way, you learn to apply the principles of syntropy in diverse contexts and conditions across all 4 seasons.
By the end of this program, you’ll truly feel like a syntropic farmer – you’ll have the knowledge and skills to work with thriving syntropic systems in the Dutch temperate climate.
Program structure:
- 9 intensive training days + 80 hours of fieldwork (to be scheduled at your own pace)
- 5 progressive modules, aligned with the seasons
- Monthly online forum for support and connection
- Bilingual: sessions in English with Dutch translation; fieldwork in Dutch and English
- Maximum 14 participants for personalized guidance.
Climate-Adaptive Food Systems:
Introduction to Syntropic Farming
5-day Immersive Workshop on Syntropic Agriculture
27th of February – 1st of March
Guided Fieldwork: 12-13th of February
This workshop focuses on the Foundations of Syntropic Farming. It begins with three days of knowledge sessions covering core principles and techniques of Syntropy. The sessions will be guided by syntropic agriculture expert Renke de Vries, who brings both extensive practical experience and direct mentorship from Ernst Götsch himself.
After the knowledge sessions, you’ll gain hands-on experience in planting and implementing syntropic systems during two days of guided field work, building further upon the theoretical foundations you acquired. This course welcomes both newcomers and people with agricultural experience who want to contribute to meaningful climate action while building resilient food systems.
